The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine continued on Saturday, featuring the skill position players. Among a less than stellar running back group, former Notre Dame star Audric Estime was hoping to showcase his skills among the NFL evaluators, decision makers and coaches in Indianapolis.
It was a mixed day for the talented runner. Here is how Estime fared.
One big question was just how much Estime was going to come in at weight wise. After playing close to 230 in 2023, Estime showed up at 221 pounds. From a physical perspective, he looked tremendous. Here are the full weigh-in results for Estime.
Height: 5-11 ½”
Weight: 221
Arm: 32 ⅜”
Hand: 10 ¼”
Wingspan: 76 ½”
It was a bizarre testing period for Estime, who had some questions to answer from scouts in attendance. The day got off to a great start, putting together two tremendous jumps. There was expectations that Estime could run in the 4.5s in the forty, but unfortunately it did not come to fruition.
That’s all people are going to talk about, but overall Estime tested well across the board aside from that. It was an interesting testing period to say the least.
40-Yard Dash: 4.71 seconds
Vertical Jump: 38 inches
Broad Jump: 10 feet, 5 inches
Estime ranked fourth among all running backs in the vertical jump and broad jump. He tied with Jaylen Wright (Tennessee) in the vertical jump and Keilan Robinson (Texas) in the broad jump.
One part of Estime’s game that is really underrated is his foot quickness. He showcased that with his cuts, looking very smooth in the bag drills. As a pass receiver, Estime also looked comfortable. In those types of situations, he truly looked stellar.
