MLB home run props for 5/6: Good power at a great price

We're back with another week of home run props, and we're looking to kick it off with a bang. Let's check out the three HR bets we're targeting for Monday's MLB slate.

Bryan Reynolds (+630 FanDuel)

Angels at Pirates, 6:40 p.m. ET

Los Angeles Angels starter Tyler Anderson is going to be a regular fade for us here on home run props, so you better get used to it. The left-hander is giving up the highest fly ball rate and the 15th-highest barrel rate in MLB among qualified pitchers, so he's more susceptible to dingers than most starters. Let's fade him on Monday with Bryan Reynolds, who leads the Pittsburgh Pirates in home runs (three) and slugging percentage (.585) against lefties this year.

Adolis Garcia (+450 FD)

Rangers at Athletics, 9:40 p.m. ET

Adolis Garcia is off to a great statistical start to the season, but his numbers are even more impressive against left-handed pitching. The Texas Rangers slugger is batting .343 with a .600 slugging percentage against lefties; the latter of which is the 15th-best mark in the majors this year. Garcia is only 1-10 against Oakland Athletics starter Alex Wood in his career, but this price is too juicy to pass up on one of the best power hitters in the game. The wind will also be blowing strongly out to right-center field at the Oakland Coliseum, which can only help our cause here.

Tyler Nevin (+870 FD)

Rangers at Athletics, 9:40 p.m. ET

Due to the friendly win projected in Oakland, let's stick with the same game for our third and final selection. Tyler Nevin is on fire with four home runs and a .987 OPS in his last 48 at-bats, and three of those four homers came off left-handed pitching. Rangers lefty Andrew Heaney is giving up the seventh-highest fly ball rate and the 10th-highest average exit velocity among qualified pitchers, and he's surrendered four home runs over his last three starts.
