Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain is targeting  Napoli standout Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 23-year-old Georgian is one of the leading candidates for a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappé, who will reportedly depart this summer.

The capital club will encounter competition for Kvaratskhelia, with FC Barcelona among the suitors vying for the Serie A player. The forward will have no shortage of suitors, as the Napoli star’s father recently spoke about his son’s future.

“In my opinion, he will decide to stay at Napoli next season,” the father of Kvaratskhelia said. “Only he will be able to choose whether to stay in Naples in the future and I will respect his every decision.”

Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, has already said his client is drawing interest from top clubs. Napoli will not let the player go unless they receive an offer that meets their demands.

Transfermarkt puts Kvaratskhelia’s transfer value at €80 million, but considering how the Italian club negotiates, it will take more. Kvaratskhelia has appeared in 35 matches in all competitions, scoring nine goals and registering six assists.

PSG is betting on the future and projection of players. Could the Parisians use the money saved from paying Mbappé to add a young, budding star?
